Visa is a ball of energy and a snuggle bug.  She is incredibly intelligent and truly meets the Golden Retriever temperament breed standard: “friendly, reliable and trustworthy”.  She has a strong drive and would go after bumpers all day if allowed.  However, she knows when to settle, and she prefers to do that with “her person”.

She is very trainable – earning her Rally Novice title easily and without obedience classes beforehand.  She is an avid and very strong swimmer.  She earned her Senior Dock diving title in just a few tries.  Her “jump” is so long that she skipped over the Novice and Junior distances on her way to her Senior title.  She shows much potential in field training, and takes after her dad, a master hunter.  She completed a field training class on water and land in 2025 and continues to practice.  Indeed, she is so excited to be in the field that she is hard to hold back once she sees the pond or a bumper.

Visa is very compatible with other dogs.  She has spent the past two years living with two unrelated female goldens and quickly became part of the family – no disagreements or territoriality at all.  She has a “watch dog” instinct and alerts us to things she hears that no one else (including dogs) hear.

Visa has been a huge success in the show ring.  When she was just 8 months old, Visa was selected Best Puppy in a Sporting Group show and Best Puppy in an All Breed show, both in Alaska.  Two months later, she was named Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite in two shows in New York.  Visa has been Winners Bitch 7 times, Reserve Winners Bitch 9 times, and was named Best of Breed and Group 1 winner in July, defeating 92 dogs in the Sporting Group.  Visa is a graceful, intelligent, energetic, and cuddly girl.
